We strive to raise high-quality Bernese Mountain that are well socialized, with outstanding temperaments, as well as a dog that represents the highest standard of their breed. We spare no expense or time to provide our dogs with a caring, clean environment in hopes of bringing together happy, healthy Bernese with loving families. We don’t just raise dogs; we hope to bring you your next family member.

We breed Bernese Mountain Dogs (BMD)with the intention of maintaining the standards for this breed and improving upon breed standards. We are located in Sterling Township of Wisconsin. At Northstar's Kennel, our breeding program strives to produce BMD that are beautiful while still preserving their intelligence, good temperament, and individual abilities of this lovely breed. All of our adults are AKC registered, and our adults are OFA certified or have prelims done. Our breeding efforts, while limited, focus on improving our chosen breeds, and working toward the AKC standard by paying close attention to health, structure, soundness, type, and temperament. We strive to produce beautiful, loyal companions that live long, healthy lives and still maintain their individual abilities. Our Bernese Mountain Dogs are family raised that get a lot of individual love and attention. Each Northstar's Kennel puppy begins life indoors and until they leave for their new homes at eight weeks. They are handled and socialized daily. They also have their back dew claws removed within three days of birth and are up to date on shots and de-worming before they leave with their new families.
